Murgon Leather Pty Ltd is a modern hide-processing facility servicing the shoe, upholstery and leathergoods markets.

Located in South East Queensland approximately three hours drive from Brisbane, Murgon Leather is a wholly owned subsidiary of Teys Bros (Holdings) Pty Ltd.

The Teys Group was established in 1946 and is the largest Australian-owned and second-largest beef processing company in Australia. Teys Bros operates six processing plants in Australia – four in Queensland and one in South Australia – and employs approximately 2600 people.

Hides from all Teys meat plants are transported daily to Murgon Leather, where they are green-fleshed before going into wet blue or salted production. Hides are then exported to our customers throughout the world for processing into finished leather.

Marketed under the internationally recognised brand of “MurgonLea”, Murgon Leather is highly regarded for its excellent standards in grading and processing methods.
